HOW FAST CAN YOU GO?

The world record for the fastest Race Walked mile is 5:31.08 and elite race walkers typically walk 6 min miles over distance. You read that right. A Race Walked mile is not far off from a running mile. Lets break it down:

Typical Human walking pace

20-30 min miles

Fastwalker

15 min mile

Head-turning Fastwalker pace

12 min mile or 5 MPH

FastWalker / Race Walking pace

10 min mile or 6 MPH

Race Walking pace

6-7 min miles or 8.5 - 10 MPH
